As simplistic as it sounds, I have found this method to be a wonderful way to relax and start my day. Meditate - take 10 - 15 minutes in the morning while everyone is still sleep. Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. My simple steps: Choose a word, sound, prayer or phrase on which to focus Sit or lie quiet, make sure you choose a comfortable place Close your eyes and begin to breathe slowly and deeply while relaxing your muscles. Repeat your focus word, prayer or phrase silently to yourself as you exhale. Finally, as your mind starts drifting, acknowledge it -- and return to your repetition. Relaxed, Great ! Now go start your day.
